Marghita is located in Bihor County, in north-west Romania, 30 km away from the Hungarian border. It administers two villages, Cheț and Ghenetea.
According to unofficial record, there are about 1 690 Roma living in Marghita.
There are three Roma communities living in different areas in Marghita, the biggest one living in Cheț.
ROMACT process started in April 2018 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement.
A Taskforce for Roma Inclusion was then created in September 2018. In December 2018, the Joint Action Plan for Roma Inclusion was adopted by the Local Council.
