Adjud is a city located in Vrancea County, in Northern Romania. 
There are three Roma neighbourhoods in Adjud, situated at the outskirts of the town: Izlaz, Mareşalul Antonescu, and Buncăr CFR. ROMACT intervention was focused on Izlaz community, mostly composed from Roma belonging to the Ursary community.

 

The ROMACT Process

ROMACT process started in November 2015 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement.
The Joint Action Plan was adopted by the Local Council in May 2016.

The Local Authorities were coached/trained on Project management.

The municipality benefited from ROMACT expert support to apply for an Action grants to support national and transnational projects on non-discrimination and Roma integration - JUST/2015/RDIS/AG/DISC - “Supporting the improved implementation of National Roma Inclusion Strategies” - Rejected.
