Însurăței (formerly known as Pârdăleni) is a town located in Brăila County, Romania.
Two Roma ethnic communities- the Vătrași and the Spoitori - are settled in Însurăței, mainly in Str Lacul Rezi, Str Distillăriei, Str Unirii and Str Nicolae Grigorescu.
They have a semi-traditional way of life, with houses in precarious conditions, but with access to utilities. Community members are faced with low access to information, low level of school integration, low level of socio-professional integration, health problems.
The ROMACT Process
ROMACT Process started in April 2023 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement.
