Karlovo is a town in central Bulgaria. It is administratively part of the Plovdiv Province. The town has a diverse ethnic composition, with Bulgarians being the majority. There is also smaller communities of Turks and Roma.
Employment opportunities in Karlovo are linked to agriculture, rose oil production, local businesses, and tourism. Disadvantaged groups, including the Roma, often experience higher unemployment rates and lower wages compared to the majority population.
ROMACT Process started in March 2023 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement.
The Taskforce for Roma inclusion was created following Mayor's approval in September 2023.
