Perushtitsa Municipality is located in Central Southern Bulgaria and is one of the constituent municipalities of Plovdiv District.
According to official data, the Roma population makes up 31% of the total population in the municipality. Roma are living in one neighborhood of the municipality.
Roma are faced with different issues including:
ROMACT Process started in April 2021 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement and continued until December 2022.
The Municipal Taskforce for Roma Inclusion was created on 31 January 2022.
As of January 2024, ROMACT process is reinforced in Perushtitsa and a new agreement was signed by the Mayor to reinforce the ROMACT cycle in the municipality.

ROMACT Small Grants Scheme :
ROMACT offers small grants scheme to support the efforts of the municipalities and Community Action Groups to respond together to the needs of the most vulnerable and to multiply the good practices across ROMACT municipalities.
Under the scheme of small grants, the following project was supported by ROMACT between April - July 2022:
Construction of playground area - Municipality of Perushtitsa
ROMACT supported the municipality with 4997 € for the construction of an outdoor playground area which created a pleasant and safe public gathering place for around 250 children in the neighborhood of Zapad. The local community action group volunteered in the construction of the playground. The opening of the park brought families and community together to discuss about the best use and the preservation of the playground.
