General Toshevo is located in the northeastern part of Bulgaria, close to the border with Romania. The town has a diverse ethnic composition, with Bulgarians being the majority, but there is also significant Turkish and Roma minorities.
Employment opportunities in General Toshevo have traditionally been linked to agriculture, but there are also jobs in local businesses, trade, education, and healthcare. Seasonal labor migration to other parts of Bulgaria or abroad is also common. Like many rural areas in Bulgaria, General Toshevo is facing challenges such as depopulation, limited access to healthcare services, and the need for infrastructure development.
