On 9 September 2016, the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) published a report on the promotion of the inclusion of Roma and Travellers, with a focus on access to education and employment. In August 2016, Ms Desislava Todorova, Mayor of Borovan signed the Agreement letter for the implementation of ROMACT Programme in the municipality.
