ROMACT has been active in the Botevgrad municipality since February 2017. Through a small grant, ROMACT enabled the Community Action Group to fulfil its first identified need - the establishment of a mothers' centre. Since then, the centre has been a central place to set goals, debate and organize as a community, but also offer activities based on the community’s needs, such as the “children’s day”, breaking the isolation / marginalization of the Roma.
Moreover, the centre is equipped with a laser wood cutter, a tool utilized for fostering self-sufficiency and sustaining the centre by crafting small objects and generating income.
