ROMACT small grants scheme during COVID19 pandemic

During this period, ROMACT is adapting its small grants scheme to support the efforts of the municipalities and of the Community Action Groups to respond together to the needs of the most vulnerable and to multiply the good practices across ROMACT municipalities. As a result, 17 ROMACT municipalities in Romania and 29 municipalities in Bulgaria are receiving small grants (to which the local authorities contribute themselves with co-financing and in kind support, like provision of machines for streets / neighbourhood disinfection, water distribution, purchase and transportation of goods etc.) in order to

ROMACT Municipalities’ Solutions to Limit COVID19 Crisis Impact on Roma Communities

Often perceived by citizens as the level having the most impact on their living conditions, local authorities are on the forefront on the fight against COVID19 pandemic. While a number of ROMACT municipalities have taken measures to limit the outbreak impact on citizens, the ROMACT Programme is about to support the efforts of the local authorities and of the Community Action Groups to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable.

Call for proposals - grants for ROMACT "support organisations" in Bulgaria and Romania - Deadline for applications 31 January 2020

This call for proposals is launched in the framework of the Council of Europe Project ROMACT. It aims to co-fund national projects aimed at assisting National Support Teams with the implementation of the ROMACT methodology in Bulgaria and Romania, with the ultimate aim of building up political will and understanding of Roma inclusion at local level.

ROMACT meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria “Mainstreaming Roma Inclusion Issues into Local and Regional Development"

ROMACT organised a national meeting in Bulgaria to address the challenges in planning for Roma inclusion and ensuring dialogue and cooperation at local level, entitled “Mainstreaming Roma Inclusion Issues into Local and Regional Development Policy”. The meeting took place in Sofia on 9 July at the National Palace of Culture.

Call for tenders for consultants on access to funds under operational programmes in Bulgaria and Romania - deadline 21 January 2019

Within the framework of the Joint European Commission and Council of Europe ROMACT Project, the Council of Europe is organising a call for tenders for consultants in Bulgaria and Romania.

Consultants will support the implementation of ROMACT Programme by providing consultancy services on accessing funds under operational programmes.

ROMACT event during European Week of Regions and Cities- 11 October 2018

On the occasion of the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, a workshop on " Building capacity for Roma inclusion at local level"  was organised with ROMACT contribution on 11 October.

ROMACT TCC- Call for proposals for grants for the organisation of working visits - Deadline 15 July 2018

This call for proposals is launched in the framework of the Council of Europe Project “ROMACT V – building capacity at local level for the integration of Roma” (ROMACT V). It aims to co-fund working visits as part of the ROMACT Transnational Cooperation and Capacity Building Component (ROMACT TCC), which aims at assisting local authorities in better integrating marginalised people, in particular non-nationals of Roma ethnicity. This component supports capacity building and transnational cooperation activities.
This call concerns only the support for working visits (Module C) of ROMACT TCC.

Call for tenders for ROMACT National Facilitators’ Coordinators in Bulgaria and Romania - Deadline- 27 February 2018

Within the framework of the Joint European Commission and Council of Europe ROMACT Programme, the Council of Europe is organising a call for tenders for National Facilitators' Coordinators in Bulgaria (2) and Romania (2).
The National Facilitators’ Coordinator will undertake an organizational and coordination function in relation to the implementation of the ROMACT project activities at local level and will act as a conduit between facilitators on one hand, and the National Project Officer on the other hand, and will work to ensure effective implementation of activities in a number of municipalities by facilitators.
