Expert Training in Public Procurement held in Buzau, Romania

Civil servants from South Eastern Romanian ROMACT participated in Public Procurement training from March 24-26 in Buzau, Romania.

The training focused initially on strategic, legal and institutional considerations and then allowed the opportunity for participants to work on more practical, real-life cases where they were tasked to address issues and come up with solutions.

One participant remarked, “I really learned things that I can apply, and while this was a challenging course, the trainer was able to answer all of our questions well.”, he went on to comment that the newly acquired knowledge can be put into practice immediately and that he intends to share it with co-workers as soon as he is back to work.

The training programme is particularly useful for implementing EU and other donor projects aimed at improving Roma inclusion in their municipalities.
